Flora in Pu Mat National Park

Pu Mat National Park is about 120 km southwest of Vinh City, Nghe An Province. It is one of the most famous destinations which Vinh Guru is focusing to introduce widely the beauty of Nghe An’s nature to friends around the world. This is a large area of forest in North Central Vietnam and also a biosphere reserve in the world. With beautiful natural landscapes, rich flora and fauna, Pu Mat is now an ideal eco-tourist attraction attracting domestic and foreign tourists. 

In 2007, Pu Mat National Park was established in 2002 and officially recognized by the United Nations Educational Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as a World Biosphere Reserve. Pu Mat is one of the major biological conservation areas in Vietnam with more than 2,400 species of plants, including 37 species listed in Vietnam’s Red Book and 20 species in the Red Book in the world.

The precious plants in Pu Mat can be named as: Po Mu, Sa Mu, Sao Hai Nam. In addition, there are many valuable medicinal plants in the forest.
